More than 1,800 cyclists, three distances, a shared experience – this was the 18th BorsodChem Tour de Tisza-tó!

This year, bright weather and a fantastic atmosphere welcomed the participants at one of the most popular events in domestic recreational cycling, which was organized by the Budapest Sports Office. as an adult18th time. The magical surroundings of Lake Tisza proved once again why it is the perfect location for a community cycling experience. 🌿🌊

🎯 There were three distances to choose from:

  • The classic 65 km lake bypass, which this year most people, almost 1200 people they called.
  • A family favorite, the 28 km short hike, which attracted 250 participants.
  • And this year's big news: the 100 km distance, which posed a more serious challenge for the most determined – this about 400 cyclist completed it.

🚨 The leading bikers along each distance ensured a safe and comfortable pace, so everyone could enjoy the joy of movement at their own pace.

💬 "It's a joy to see that, along with the spring renewal of nature, we are also forming a community: young, old, professionals and hobby cyclists ride together, laugh, and achieve. The success of the longer distance also shows how much we desire shared challenges and experiences" – said Árpád Kocsis, head of BSI.

👥 Our participants are from all over the country 350 settlements arrived, 25% from Budapest, 20% from Pest County, but the surrounding counties were also actively represented. The field 70%-a male, 30%-a female volt.

👵👴 The oldest starters set a truly inspiring example:

  • The 81-year-old Kalman Bohak and the 71-year-old Ilona Suranyi they completed the 65 km distance,
  • while the oldest person to complete the 100 km challenge is 71 years old Dr. Gabor Kuzdy volt.

🚲 One of the most special players in the field is the world velocipede champion Alexander Halapi There was someone who completed the lake circuit again with his museum bicycle!

🎉 The BorsodChem Tour de Tisza-tó is more than a bike tour – it is a true community celebration, where all ages move together, laugh, struggle and recharge in the embrace of nature.
